Home School Division

The Home School Division provides recreational dance training for students ages 2 -12. All classes in this division are advanced beginner level and separated by age.  The school syllabus for this division follows a training rubric that supports progressive levels of technical skill development.

 

Home School Division Class offerings includes Mommy/Daddy & Me, Primary Combo, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Acrobatics & Tumbling,

Mommy/Daddy & Me

This class is designed to allow parent and child to work together in a creative environment to learn the fundamentals of movement & rhythm. This class supports early childhood development of motor skills and cognitive learning.

Primary Combo

This class is designed to introduce children to dance through a combination of ballet, jazz, acrobatics & tumbling. This class supports early childhood development of motor skills and cognitive learning.

Pre-Ballet

This is class is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and skills training in classical ballet vocabulary and technique.  This class is recommended for students between the ages of 5-6 that are interested in auditioning for the Pre-Professional Division.

Ballet

This is class is designed to build upon fundamental knowledge and skills training in classical ballet vocabulary and technique through focused study on body alignment, movement placement, and articulation of the feet.

Jazz

This class is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and skills training in jazz technique including isolations, leaps, single turns, and high kicks. The class focuses on the development of technique, style, and rhythm through high energy movement combinations.

Acrobatics & Tumbling

This class is designed to provide fundamental knowledge and skills training in classical dance techniques combined with tumbling elements. This class focuses on the development of skills including forward & backwards roll, backbend, handstands, & cartwheel.
